The meaning behind the album’s title is simple – DRAIN …Is Your Friend (unless you’re a venue security guard. Then you might not want to be friends with DRAIN). The record strives to capture the essence of DRAIN’s live shows, the band’s friendship and chemistry, and make future live performances the craziest ones yet. The entire album was tracked live with producer Jon Markson and is embedded with the catchiest choruses, heaviest mosh parts, the tastiest thrash riffs, and the most screamable DRAIN lyrics ever written.

Its introspective and dark lyricism, co-vocalist Tades Sanville’s echoing yells, and twinkling guitar riffs highlight Hot Mulligan’s niche while still introducing something new to the table. The track is an account of how haunting it is to be alive and aware of the positions you place yourself in.
