Hey there!
I'm Amber—a 21 year old live music photographer and music journalist based in the NYC/NJ area. Notably red and always found in a mosh pit, music has been my ultimate passion since I was a tiny 4 year old at her very first concert (in case you're wondering, it was The Wiggles). Over the last year, photography and journalism have allowed me to explore my passion for music even further than I ever thought possible.
I recently graduated from Montclair State University, where I found my passion for media, journalism and photography after joining the campus radio station, 90.3 WMSC-FM, in my junior year. I spent the entirety of that year dedicating myself to the station's music team and wearing many hats as a contributor for the website, artist interviewer, on-air personality, photographer, and more. During my senior year, I spent my time at WMSC as the Music Director, which allowed me to produce and book artists for the station's weekly live music show that highlights local NJ artists, WMSC Unplugged, and music news and artist interview show, Tunes on Tuesday.
I'm now a contributing photographer and writer for The Camera Affect and Televised Magazine. I also serve as Televised's Assistant Operations Consultant, where I help run the publication's operations through organizing and sending press requests, social media creative direction, building connections with publicists, managers and other industry professionals and more in addition to my contributions.
Shortly after graduating in May 2025, I became a Journalism Intern at Melodic Magazine, where you can now see me raving about the newest song releases and delivering the latest music-related news, especially in the alternative genre.
See you in the pit!
