Winona Fighter brings their Yes, Chef Tour to New Jersey 6/5/25 - WMSC 90.3 FM

As the night went on, [Coco] Kinnon jokingly motivated the crowd to start moving around, stating, “Don’t make me feel like this hot dog was for nothing!” They even got someone who was deemed as “guy having a good time” (later identified as Matt) to open up a mosh pit and get things going. The crowd was one of the best parts of the show. Getting to watch people scream the lyrics of every song back at Kinnon, headbang, mosh, and go wild was so fun to see. It was the exact type of energy a punk show needs to survive and thrive.

Post-hardcore icons Chiodos celebrated 20 years of their debut album All’s Well That Ends Well with a sold-out show at Webster Hall on April 28th. The show featured support from The Callous Daoboys, Emmure, and Hawthorne Heights. If there’s one thing Joywave knows how to do, it’s perform. Seriously, there was not a second of this show where my eyes weren’t glued to the men in matching blue silk pajamas that stood before me. Frontman Daniel Armbruster is truly a natural talent who could probably give the performance of a lifetime just about anywhere. The few moments I was released from this trance allowed me to take in the pure joy from those who surrounded me. Everyone in the crowd was singing and dancing like this show was the only thing that mattered in the world at that point–and ever would.

Movements Delivers Unforgettable Performance at Brooklyn Paramount 3/14/25 - WMSC 90.3 FM

I’ll admit–before this night, I did not realize how rowdy a Movements crowd could be! As someone who’s been following the band for a few years, I’ve always heard about how phenomenal their live shows are. However, it was even more intense than I could have ever imagined (in a good way!). Every second there were crowdsurfers in the air and a new mosh pit being opened up. There was so much raw emotion filling up the room from both the band’s performance and the way the fans were soaking it up. I didn’t think it was possible to vocally sound better live than in your studio recordings, but [Patrick] Miranda proved me very wrong.
